Finding inspiration in song lyrics.
Here in The Radio Room, you’re getting more than music discovery, you may just discover a bit about yourself.
The Radio Room is an inspirational hub of art and music.
This newsletter was inspired after a few different happy hours with a few different friends where I shared creative musings and discoveries.
At the end of the happy hour or coffee meetup, each friend had a similar goodbye,
“Text me all the things you talked about.”
Like most radio stations, it’s a space where you get information.
Amongst the radio episodes and playlists, you’ll get reflective essays that tie to my artist journey, recs related to arts and culture all while relating life moments to song lyrics.
About Moi
My name is Joi (pronounced as Jo-Ee)
I am a multi-disciplinary artist and music curator and DIY radio show producer.
My work has been displayed in various locations such as the Joslyn Museum, The Kaneko, Chicago's Union Station, Millwork Commons and the Cadillac Theater.
All my art is inspired by song lyrics.
So it’s no surprise to many that I have a radio show.
You’re in good hands when it comes to discovering new music
My DIY radio show, Electric Radio Club, was born out of my love of making mixtapes for friends because I want them to discover and support new bands!
I’ve been a music lover my entire life, thanks to a family that loves listening to a variety of music.
You can listen to my radio show, Electric Radio Club on Mixcloud and subscribe to get notifications right to your inbox when new episodes are uploaded.
